Strangely Dim
Francesca Battistelli

When I fix my eyes, on all that You are
then every doubt I feel, deep in my heart
grows strangely dim
All my worries fade and fall to the ground
When I seek Your face and don't look around
any place I'm in,  grows strangely dim..
I don't know what tomorrow may hold
but I know
that You're holding it all
So no matter what may come,
I'm gonna fix my eyes  on all that You are
till every doubt I feel grows strangely dim.
Let all my worries fade and fall to the ground
I'm gonna seek Your face
and not look around
till the place I'm in grows strangely,
strangely dim

The Lord is my shepherd.
I am never in need.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside peaceful waters.
He renews my soul.
He guides me along the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Even though I walk through the dark valley of death,
because You are with me, I fear no harm.
Your rod and Your staff give me courage.
You prepare a banquet for me...
 My cup overflows..
Certainly, goodness and mercy will stay close to me all the days of my life,
and I will remain in the Lord’s house
for days without end

Psalm 23:1-6

Saturday, December 19, 2015

That night there were shepherds staying in the
fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.
Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared among them,
and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them.
..the angel reassured them.
"Don't be afraid!" he said
"I bring you good news
that will bring great joy to all people.
The saviour - yes, the Messiah, the Lord -
has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!" (vs.8-11)
...And suddenly the angel was joined
by a vast host of others
-the armies of heaven-
praising God and saying;
"Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom
God is pleased".

Luke 2:8-11
Luke 2:13-14

Angels We Have Heard on High
tr. by James Chadwick, pub.1862

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing over the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Glory to God in the Highest!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Glory to God in the Highest!

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord the newborn King.

"Are you tired?
Worn out?
..Come to Me.
Get away with Me and you'll
recover your life.
I'll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with Me and work with Me-
watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
..Keep company with Me and you'll live
freely and lightly"

Matt 11:28-30

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors,
as though God were making
His appeal through us...

Then Jesus turned to the twelve and asked;
"Are you also going to leave?"
Simon Peter replied,
"Lord to whom would we go?
You have the words that give eternal life.
We believe and know You are the Holy one of God"

John 6: 67-70

Always Enough
Kari Jobe

You're all I need..
no one like You, Lord
If I have You, I have everything
But without You  I have nothing.

There is salvation in no one else!
God has given no other name under heaven
by which we must be saved

Acts 4:12

First... always First.

Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers,
James and John and led them up a mountain to be alone.
As the men watched, Jesus' appearance was transformed so that His face
shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as light.
Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking with Jesus.
Peter exclaimed "Lord, it's wonderful for us to be here!
If you want, I'll make three shelters as memorials
-one for You, one for Moses and one for Elijah"
But even as he spoke,
a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the
cloud said "This is My dearly loved Son, who brings Me great joy.
Listen to Him".
The disciples were terrified and fell face down on the ground.
Then Jesus came over and touched them
"Get up," He said "Don't be afraid"
And when they looked up, Moses and Elijah were gone,
and they saw only Jesus.

Matt 17:1-8

And now these three remain:
Faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love

1 Corinthians 13:13

Nicole Nordeman

You're a friend of God, daughter, son
blameless and forgiven one
You're a slave no more, finally free
Saints and heirs, now redeemed
Your beautiful and broken heart
is safe and sound in His arms
You are chosen, you are His
so, remember this;
You are not your ashes
You are a flame
Do not ask the shadows
the Light of the world knows..
He knows your name
Blameless and Forgiven one..

I love You,
O Lord, my strength

Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart,
I will praise His Holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things He does for me. (vs1-2)

The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. (vs8)

I will sing of my Redeemer
Philip Paul Bliss

Sing, O sing of my Redeemer
With His blood He purchased me;
On the cross He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt and made me free

I will tell the wondrous story,
How, my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy
He, the ransom freely gave

Oh You're lovely, lovely
You're the centre of my universe
A thousand times,
I look around me and I find
You're lovely, lovely

A million ways could not explain-
You're lovely..

How priceless is Your unfailing love, O God
People take refuge in the
shadow of Your wings.
They feast on the abundance of Your house;
You give them drink from
Your river of delights.
For with You is the fountain of life;
in Your light we see light

Psalm 36:7-9

This is what the Lord says -
The Lord who made the Earth,
The Lord who formed it and established it
-The Lord is His name:
`Call to Me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know

Hillsong United

Your truth is a compass
that points me back north
Jesus, my captain, my souls trusted Lord
all my allegiance is rightfully Yours
Like the wind, You guide-
clear the skies before me
and I' ll glide this open sea
Like the stars, Your Word, will align my voyage
and remind me where I've been
and where I am going

Jesus, my captain
my souls trusted Lord
all my allegiance is rightfully Yours

The Son is the radiance of Gods glory
and the exact representation of His being,
sustaining all things by His powerful Word.
After He had provided purification for sins,
He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Hebrews 1:3

Jesus answered..
`..And I will ask the Father
and He will give you another advocate, to help you
and be with you forever.
The Spirit of truth, the world cannot
accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him
But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.'

John 14:16-17

`..But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you all things
and will remind you of everything
I have said to you.`

John 14:26

Follow me
Castings Crowns

..I have nothing to give
but surrender inside,

`Let down your nets
this is not the end
from now on you'll be
fishers of men
Follow Me,  Follow Me`

..He said to Simon,
"Now go out where it is deeper,
 and let down your
nets to catch some fish"

"Master," Simon replied, "we have worked hard all night
and didn't catch a thing.
But if You say so, I'll let the nets down again."
And this time the nets were so full of fish they began to tear!
A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat,
and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
When Simon Peter realized what had happened,
he fell to his knees before Jesus and said,
"Oh Lord, please leave me -
I am too much of a sinner to be around You"
For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught..(vs.4-9)
Jesus replied "Don't be afraid!
From now on you'll be fishing for people!"
And as soon as they landed, they left everything
and followed Jesus. (vs.10-11)

Luke 5:4-9

'I will open up rivers for them on high plateaus
I will give them fountains of water in the valleys
I will fill the desert with pools of water.
Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground'

Isaiah 41:18

Washed over me
All things new

        Like water, You poured out,
      Your grace covered me..
When Your love, when Your love washed over me
My cup is overflowing
with You I thirst no more
There on the river I found the victory
When Your love washed over me.

..The joy of the Lord
is your strength

Nehemiah 8:10

Have Everything
David Dunn

You can have me
 You can have everything,
   I am Yours
Not holding on - onto anything
 but, Your promise Lord.

Nothing I want more,
than what You've given me
You can have everything

 I'm gonna wake up and say;
"You can have me, You can have everything"

Brothers and sisters,
I do not consider myself yet
to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward
what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal
to win the prize for which God
has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus

Philippians 3:13-14

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise
with our weaknesses,
but we have one who has been tempted in every way
just as we are, and yet He did not sin.

Hebrews 4:15

Here now
Hillsong United

Cause I know that You are
Here now
Still my heart
Let Your voice be all I hear, now
Fix my eyes on things
that I can't see, now

Spirit breathe
Like the wind
Come have Your way

..And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted
beyond what you can bear
But when you are tempted
He will provide a way out
so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Light of the World

The Lord went ahead of them.
He guided them during the day with a pillar
of  cloud, and He provided light at night with a pillar of
This allowed them to travel by day or by night.
And the Lord did not remove the pillar of cloud or pillar of fire
from its place in front of the people.

Exodus 13:21-22

Stars in the Night
Tenth Avenue North

We fix our eyes on what we know is true
Even in our shame, grace makes a way through
Be our obsession, Our constellation
You are light in and out of every season
So we keep pressing on, with our redemption song
No one can undo what you've done
Hallelujah, we're running to You..

and through the dark, singing we are Yours
Your love will lead us through the fight
like stars in the night..

`Keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
For the joy set out for Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame
and has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God'

Hebrews 12;2
